NZ Police Praised FGS¡¯s Spirit in Dharma Propagation

Inspector Al Stewart and colleague George from New Zealand Police visited Fo Guang Shan (FGS) South Island on 5th July. Venerable Abbess Manshin, FGS South Island Minister in Charge Venerable Jue Xi and BLIA New Zealand Head Advisor Dolly Tsai.

Inspector Al Stewart praised FGS team to complete many impossible tasks in the local and offering a lot of contributions to the community. Venerable Abbess Manshin expressed that FGS promotes spirit of teamwork. Without teamwork, it is impossible to complete many courses in dharma propagation. Relying on sole individual without collective will only produce limited ability. Inspector Stewart and colleague agreed with the view.

Abbess informed to Inspector Stewart that herself and the BLIA member would be going to University of Otago in Dunedin presenting ¡°Encyclopedic of Buddhist Arts¡± that took 13 years to be completed and to hold a Buddhism lecture for them. Inspector Stewart and colleague expressed excitement on this and they admired Abbess¡¯s endless energy and tirelessly propagate the good cause in Buddhism. Abbess showed them the ¡°Encyclopaedia of Buddhist Arts¡±. When they saw the pictures with exquisite writing, they were surprised at the art¡¯s achievements in Buddhism.
