Redcliffs Opportunity to have an Artist Tour

21 art lovers from the Redcliffs Friendship Club of Christchurch had the opportunity to appreciate the abstract paintings by Keith Morant at the Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery Christchurch on 20 September led by the artist himself, facilitated by BLIA members, Kok-Wei and Frida.

After the group had morning tea at the Water Drop Vegetarian Caf, Kok-Wei have shared the story of gratitude of Water Drop Vegetarian Caf, the design of the building which resembles Longmen Grottoes in China and the Four Great Bodhisattvas. BLIA members have then explained the Three Acts of Goodness and Four Givings. In the sharing, the visitors could understand the positive initiatives of Humanistic Buddhism which if it could be learned at a young age, it will be truly be beneficial in later years.

Local international artist, Keith Morant, have studied about Buddhism and have some experience in connecting into Buddhism. He has shared all this to the visitors and after that, he explained his creative inspiration with the stories of his artworks at the exhibition. Keith have answered all the questions asked by the visitors and lastly, his wife Tricia helped lead the group to the ceramics that she have created which are also at the Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery.

Following up, Frida presented the FGS NZ 10th Anniversary Report to their leader, Lyn Campbell showing gratitude and in return, Lyn have also thanked the BLIA members for arranging such program to them and they have promised to recommend their friends and family to visit and also have a delicious meal in this place of tranquility.
