40 members of the South Canterbury Jaguar Owners Club that came from Timaru NZ arrived at Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery South Island NZ with their exclusive automobiles on the 26th of September. This club from Timaru has been established for 35 years with 60 members currently and will visit Christchurch every two years. Activity planner Mr. Ian Smith, a person that just loves great cars and golf didn¡¯t expect to also fall in love with embroidery after visiting the ¡°Yao Hong-Ying Embroidery Art Exhibition¡± at the Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery. He immediately wanted to share this new love with his fellow members and brought more than half of the members of the club to appreciate the embroidery.
At 4pm that day, members of the club arrived at Fo Guang Shan (FGS) South Island and used tea at the Tea House. They then visit the Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery. Everyone was fascinated and praised Yao Hong-Ying¡¯s embroidery, but because time was limited, they have decided to visit FGS South Island again to appreciate the art and also to understand more about the FGS Temple¡¯s design. Before leaving, they parked all their cars in a row for a group photo with Venerables and volunteers here. They then had contributed NZ$100 to thank the hospitality and warm reception given by everyone at FGS.
