Currently, Fo Guang Yuan (FGY) Art Gallery Christchurch is hosting the “Common Threads” Embroidery Exhibition where 45 members of the Canterbury Embroiderers’ Guild are exhibiting 84 pieces of their works, with some prize winners among them.
And at the same time, from 9th January 2022 onwards, Guild members will be present at the Art Gallery to interact with the visitors face-to-face to share with them their concepts and experiences in Embroidery Art. Other than guided exhibition tours, there will be Live Demos by Guild members to demonstrate the stitching process, and the different techniques involved in producing various types of embroideries.
FGY Art Gallery Christchurch welcomes you, your family and friends to visit the Embroidery Exhibition so as to better understand New Zealand’s Embroidery Art and its history.
