In the midst of the current Omicron outbreak in New Zealand, our organising committee has assessed the risks of proceeding with the Buddha’s Birthday Celebration for World Peace in April 2022. We believe it is in the best interest of our communities to cancel the official ceremony to avoid large gathering.
Nevertheless, we are prepared to extend the Buddha’s Birthday Celebration from 5th to 17th April 2022, as such to allow everyone visiting the Temple at their convenience days to bathe the Buddha, which is an excellent way to cleanse our mind. There are flower and light offerings, prayer for Covid, bell of happiness and vegetarian foods during this period of celebration.
