Closing Ceremony of 2022 World BLIA Meeting of the Board of Directors – NZ BLIA Members March Forward Together under Buddha’s Light

The 2022 BLIA Virtual 4th Meeting of the Seventh Board of Directors concluded on the 9th of October at 4.40pm with nearly 3000 online participants. Abbess of FGS NZ, Venerable Manshin; Minister-in-charge of FGS Auckland, Venerable Rulian; President of BLIA North Island Chapter, Yulin Gu and Vice-president, Nick Yoong, led North Island Chapter supervisors, committees and nearly 50 people gathered at FGS North Island to join the virtual closing ceremony, along with some members of the North Island Chapter who joined online.

At the closing ceremony, FGS Head Abbot Most Venerable Hsin Bau showed gratitude to North America’s commitment and to the world’s collective collaborations, stating that the conferences, activities, and reports were sure evidence of hard work and success. Over the past 8 days, participants observed, encouraged and learned from each other, developing their own journey of propagating Buddha’s teaching with Dharma joy and appreciation. Through Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s concept of Humanistic Buddhism, BLIA has brought the light of Buddha and lit up hopes across the world. Most Venerable Hsin Bau believes with deep faith , there will be an increasing addition of members to the big family of BLIA, and expressed this to all participants with great confidence.

BLIA Secretary General, Venerable Chueh Pei and East America Vice-Secretary General, Venerable Hui Dong announced the resolutions of the General Meeting. Venerable Hui Dong thanked the members for their support and practice of Wisdom and Innovation on behalf of the organizers. He expressed that there have been lots of innovative and new ideas from members. Venerables added to this by giving a huge thank you to all the members for 30 years of commitments and efforts.

BLIA World Headquarters Acting President, Venerable Tzu Jung indicated that, Venerable Master Hsing Yun has been paying lots of attention to everyone and hopes that we can continue to promote Humanistic Buddhism and express The Buddha’s compassion and wisdom through actions. Abbot of Tai Hua Temple, Venerable Hsin Ting blessed members to keep up with the times, stay in good health and continue to enhance cultivation in life.

During the Awards Ceremony, NZ North Island Chapter achieved a magnificent triumph, where awards were given to the Chapter for high participation and high excellence in BLIA 2022 Global Buddhism Examination. These awards can be credited as the result of North Island NZ Chapter’s promotion and localization of Humanistic Buddhism. Abbess Manshin blessed those members with strong faiths and beliefs of The Dharma. Only through putting actions into practice, we can understand Dharma’s values and indestructible faith.

All members from throughout the world recite Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s A Prayer for World Peace respectfully and prayed sincerely with piety for the light of Buddha to illuminate the world continuously. The handover of the BLIA World Headquarters Flag from North America Association to BLIA Chunghua Headquarters, foreshadows 2023’s Global General Assembly to be hosted by BLIA Chunghua Headquarters, and anticipating greeting everyone in Taiwan next year.
