A greater understanding of the symbolism and art of the architecture

Temple Tour – Farmcoves 17 June, 9:30am

Although it was a rainy day, fifteen retires, elderly Farmcove residents took part in a tour of the Temple led by Tour Guide volunteer Margaret Sek. She explained that it is a good example of a Fo Guang Shan Temple in that most of the building material used during the construction is produced in New Zealand.

The group greatly appreciated the guided tour which gave them a greater understanding of the symbolism and art of the architecture. The also enjoyed the Zen Garden, the traditional decoration and welcoming atmosphere of the Tea House.
