19 June 2008 – The funeral service of the mother of Mrs Wong was held on the morning of 19 June at the North Shore Memorial. Venerable Rulian and Venerable Juehuan led the chanting and transferred merit for the deceases at the service, which was attended by 60 relatives and friends.
Mrs Wong, who migrated to New Zealand more than ten years ago, said that before she died, her mother had told them what had happened and insisted that they search for the murderer so that society could be more safe and secure.
