Wisdom Humanistic Study Group
During the afternoon of Sunday 22 June ten members of Central Sub-Chapter Wisdom Humanistic Study Group, guided by Venerable Juehuan, met to discuss ‘Living Courageously’ from ‘Between Ignorance and Enlightenment’ by Venerable Master Hsing Yun.
BLIA Advisor, George Lu shared some true stories of youth who did not cherish their lives. Everyone then shared their experiences of different stages of life and found that their common view was that ‘attitude’ is one of the most important things that affect our way of life therefore we have to create a good habit of intention through our awareness. According to Buddhism it is important to be greatly appreciative, content, assertive and optimistic to realise the preciousness of life. The group also shared different ways of defending themselves in this time of serious law and order issues.
