Local resident Kath Jamieson came to “Fo Guang Relief Service Centre” on Feb 24. Kath works at the Christchurch City Council; she saw our youth leaders carrying the sign “Free hot food served at Fo Guang Relief Service Center” and was curious. She talked with Abbess Manshin, saying that the Council is very thankful to many organizations providing relief work, and that it has received enough blankets, clothing and food; what is needed the most now is donation of cash.
Kumar and Dev from Jasol, a local company, donated fresh bread to the Fo Guang Relief Service Center. Abbess Manshin thanked them for joining the Fo Guang Relief Service Centre in helping the victims of the earthquake.
