Preparing the Venue for the Calm and Chaos Art Exhibition

The Calm and Chaos Art Exhibition by young New Zealand artists Eliza Sinead and Lucy Andersson will be opened on 20th June 2020 at the Fo Guang Yuan (FGY) Art Gallery Christchurch. On 15th June 2020, Gallery Coordinator Juin Mei led Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) Malaysia’s Young Adult Division (YAD) members Chia Nee Ling、Sin KaiXim and Ang Jia Huey to clear the venue for the Exhibition.

Eliza Sinead and Lucy Andersson also came to the Gallery on 16th June 2020 to prepare for their Exhibition. Lucy felt that the Victorian Era’s ‘Flower Language’ Culture was a soundless form of communicating emotions, and was very meaningful. Hence, she began to infuse ‘Flower Language’ into her paintings. From young, Eliza loved reading fairy tales and stories of the Renaissance Era. Eliza drew her creative inspirations from the backgrounds of the societies as told in these stories, and proceeded to develop a different Art form of making braided fabric.

This Exhibition will be the first exhibition organized by Lucy and Eliza themselves, and they very much look forward to it. They have come to the Gallery many times to survey the venue and discuss about the arrangement of the exhibits. They have also personally prepared a handout and a short introductory video, hoping that the Exhibition will successfully present to the outside World their artistic best.
