Schools Appreciate FGS Auckland’s Continued Support with Hand Sanitiser

Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple Auckland has long been dedicated to fostering positive engagement with the community and schools through the principles of the Three Acts of Goodness and the Four Givings. Recently, the Deputy Principal of Baverstock Oaks School, Mr Andrew Flanagan, contacted the Temple to express his gratitude for donating hand sanitiser during the pandemic, which helped reduce infection risks. He inquired if the Temple could provide additional supplies for daily protection.

Abbess Manshin of FGS NZ took immediate action and requested that the team contact the previous donors. They were pleased to donate another batch to schools through the Temple, ensuring these essential supplies could be put to good use.

On 13th February, President KU of BLIA North Island and the Temple team delivered 44 boxes of hand sanitiser to Baverstock Oaks School. Deputy Principal Andrew appreciated the Temple’s ongoing support which he likened to timely rain. He was impressed by the Fo Guang team’s effort and efficiency.

The following morning, on 14th February, the Temple team delivered another 42 boxes of hand sanitiser to Ormiston Primary School. Principal Heath McNeil expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Abbess and the team for their continuous concern for the school. He noted that the previous donation of sanitiser was nearly depleted and that the Temple’s timely contribution would once again help safeguard the health of students and staff, ensuring their well-being in both body and mind.

FGS Buddhist Temple Auckland continues to embody the spirit of the Founder, Venerable Master, by practising his teachings of Giving Others Confidence, Joy, Hope and Convenience. The Temple is committed to serving the community through practical actions, bringing warmth and care to local schools and their students.
