On 21st July, the British MG vintage car members from Christchurch brought their beloved vintage cars to Fo Guang Yuan (FGY) Art Gallery Christchurch, creating a rare MG Classic Car Show. The large fleet of cars and eye-catching car shapes were a big hit. Di and Dren Errington were one of the couples who took part in the vintage car show, and they sent a letter of appreciation on 28th July, thanking FGY Art Gallery Christchurch for all the support and hospitality on that day.
Di and Dren Errington praised the MG Classic Car Show as a very creative idea and were delighted that visitors to the Art Gallery get to enjoy different exhibits and broaden their horizons. On the day of the exhibition, curator Venerable Abbess Manshin mentioned that she hoped the team would hold a bigger MG Classic Car Show next year at Fo Guang Shan North Island NZ. Both Di and Dren Errington expressed the team’s support and provided her with the Auckland MG team’s contact information. The Auckland MG team has more members and usually plan events a year to a year and a half in advance, and Di and Dren Errington look forward to making this event a success.
Di and Dren Errington said that after the MG Classic Car Show, they received a great response from the team members, saying that the event was different from others and that they felt so much joy from the warm reception of the art gallery that they wanted to make more donations in return. The letter ended by thanking the art gallery team once again for their hospitality, and for making their afternoon a pleasant one for everyone involved.
