Understand Buddhism through YAD Classes

BLIA South Island NZ Deputy President Ding Lihson, Second Sub-chapter President Cao Qian and Committee member Kokwei-Low led students in order to diversify the learning content. In these classes, icebreaking games were played, Buddhist rhythm were sung with wonderful melody and concise lyrics bringing out the meaning of Dharma, hand gestures were practiced to further strengthen the students’ understanding of Buddhist music, enjoying animation film about the life of the Buddha, and many more activities were.

These new YAD members were also guided to perform evening prayers at the end of every classes. To diversify the teaching, students had a chance to recite these evening prayers in English so that they could understand the meaning of the text using their second language. These YAD members always look forward to every class and hope that the next class will bring even more surprises. Objective of these Buddhist classes were achieved with students learning to calm down their heart.
